The new Gallery

My practice tends to be based around the curation of objects to provoke meaning and explore my concepts, so as an artists i'm not explicitly 'making' art objects but rather curating pre-existing objects. As an artist i struggle with this, it makes me doubt my practice as I don't have as much to show for it compared to lets says a painter. I wanted to create a space where my work and projects can exist and act as the artwork as well as documentation, almost like a permanent exhibition.
Looking to other online spaces where work is displayed I came across an array of virtual reality art galleries that offered an interactive experience of a gallery setting with artwork descriptions etc, Mimicking the experience of the art gallery. One struck me because like in real galleries and spaces people are looking for new ways and new kinds of spaces to display work, and the online gallery had kept with these ideas by displaying the work in a virtual reality swimming pool.
Although I think these online spaces work i don't want to mimic the gallery setting but rather create a new type of space suited and designed around my work.
